Winter Fishing in the Carpodrome
Fishing technique
When winter and the cold arrive, it can become really complicated to attack fish in commercial waters as the low temperature of the water numbs them and makes them suspicious and less inclined to attack the bait, but with the right precautions we will still be able to spend a pleasant day full of catches.
Preparation of the mount
One of the most profitable fishing techniques is certainly fishing with a pole, but the most important thing is the preparation of the rig. Considering that we will be targeting extremely suspicious fish, we should use extremely light equipment even though our target is mainly carp and crucian carp, but let's now see how to proceed with the preparation of the line.
Choice of elastic
Let's start from the choice of the elastic, we can easily mount a Maver Dual Core cable elastic so as to have a greater elongation which will certainly help us to better manage our terminal, as a diameter a 1.80 or at most a 2.05 will be fine ,
Choice of float
As regards the choice of float on lakes where the depth does not exceed 2 meters I would recommend not going beyond 0.75 g, for example the Kolpo Hanoi float or the Marge model by Maver are excellent in terms of shape.
Preparation of the line
We will then mount everything on a 0.12 line, as a main line we can use a fluorine type Allback from Kolpo, while for the terminal which will be made of approximately 25/30 cm we will use a 0.10 terminal, but let's get ready to be ready to even drop to 0.09 or even less if we don't see results arriving, an excellent solution for the terminal is the Maver exel wire.
Terminal
As far as hooks are concerned, the same thing applies as for the terminal, we can easily start with a size 18 hook, and then go down to a size 22. The line should be mounted very simply with pellets no larger than size 10, you can make a bulk about 30 cm from the slot (dots all close together) and then another 3/4 dots placed one at the same distance from the other, the terminal will just need to be made about 25/30 cm.
Pellets
As a final piece of advice, I can give you not to keep the terminal resting too much on the ground, start by placing the terminal 7/8 cm and then end up fishing even slightly detached from the bottom. Baiting must be meticulous, whether pellets, groundbait or maggots are used a few at a time and slowly, so as not to satiate our prey prematurely.
