The micro Cut lead,have been studied by our Anglo-Saxon friends for carpodrome fishing, they cover that specific need to calibrate a light float on a wire of important diameter. In fact, a normal lead ball has a shallow cut and would be very difficult to tighten on a large diameter wire.
