We developed the name and aesthetics of this reel inspired by the famous original 506. The 706 was for many years the best-selling ABU reel in the UK. With the help of our engineers and consultants, we have made some important changes to further improve what has become the 506 MKII! - The new handle is safer and the synchronized drag is more efficient (addition of carbon washers) - Thanks to improved gear components, the reel offers a greater feeling of fluidity and power - Improved gear locking mechanism - The pin locks the gear without damaging it - Adding an arrow on the reel rotor to indicate the correct disassembly direction - Improvement of the button/mechanism for releasing the cap.
